Dear Friends and Family,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We pray that you have had a very blessed and fulfilling 2009. Our family has had a very exciting and full year. There is too much to recount here; but here is a little of what we are currently up to.

Dietrich is now 4, has started his first year of kindergarten and is doing very well. He really enjoys playing with his friends and learning all about his letters and numbers. We are pleased to see him write his own name and stay focused when he needs to. He is definitely active and enjoys doing anything physical. He has the opportunity to go ice skating with his class every week and really enjoys skating circles around his friends. Within 15 min on the ice he decided he didn't need a frame to help support him. He seemed to have more fun pushing it and watching it sail across the ice. We can definitely see his love of athletics.

Dustin is two and really enjoys his time alone with mom. We snuggle more and read more books now than ever. Heidi, our 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, is his very best friend. He will scale large bookshelves to get her a treat. Very often you can find him trying to play cars with her. "Heidi, this is my garage and here are my trucks. Over there is your garage and your trucks. Can I visit you?" He rolls around with her and loves being chased. Heidi also loves to gently nibble at his feet until she can pull his socks off.

Dan is working hard writing great sermons, visiting members, leading bible studies and preparing a mission team to go to Guatemala next summer. Of course this only scratches the surface of what he gets done in a week. I am blessed that he still finds time to come home for lunch and help around the house. Apparently he loves to do dishes. Who knew? What a blessing!

I am feeling well after my emergency abdominal surgery in September. Thankfully it was only a cyst that was removed. The real blessing of that emergency room visit is that we discovered I am pregnant and the baby was strong enough to survive the surgery. After a rocky start we are expecting our new bundle around June 7. We will certainly keep you informed on developments; but we would also love to see you for a baptism next summer. Start getting your passports in order!!

We pray that God is moving mountains in your life and that He is showing you his strength, peace and hope every day.

God's Blessings,

The Kletke's
